Cavity
Decontamination
IceSolv has become one of the leaders in reactor cavity decontamination by
being able to offer our customers a wide selection of applications and techniques
from which to choose. Our qualified staff and technicians are experienced in
the application of Alconox, Strippable Coating, SHARC, WEPA and other manual
scrubbing applications. Additionally, our trained/certified Hydrolasing personnel
are capable of performing reactor cavity decontamination.

Steam
Generator Bowl Washing
IceSolv has extensive experience in steam generator bowl washing. Our projects
have ranged from the typical bowl wash to reduce hot particle exposure to the
more extensive decontamination for man-entries and/or partial jumps. IceSolv
has manufactured specialty fixtures and electric powered equipment for bowl
washing.

Waste
Volume Reduction
IceSolv will perform waste reduction, free release of tools, equipment and
components, and process sea land containers at our customer’s site or
at an off-site location. This capability can save our customer’s large
radwaste shipping expense, plus the costs associated with time, tool reclamation
and unnecessary burial.

Stud
Bolt Cleaner (BWR’s Only)
IceSolv specifically designs and fabricates containment Stud Bolt Cleaners
(SBC) to more effectively and efficiently clean the studs. The SBC has saved
our customers “critical path hours” each outage for this task.
Utilizing this process has also minimized man-rem exposure and manpower required
to clean the studs.
The
containment SBC weighs approximately 35 pounds and
is constructed with stainless steel high pressure piping
attached to an aluminum housing. The housing maintains
the spray nozzle configuration and diffuses all water
through the bottom opening.
The
containment SBC is self centering, non-abrasive, safe
and easy to operate. One person can install the cleaner
on the stud bolt, rotate the cleaner and clean each
stud bolt in approximately one totwo minutes.
